Clocks of Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod are undergoing repair and maintenance

Yesterday, the clocks installed on Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod were removed for repair. 

The Italian clocks appeared in the city in 2008, the accuracy of the time they show is ensured by signal synchronization via GPRS. However, the clocks have not been running for a long time – the inspection conducted by employees of the company "Zakarpatelektrobud" revealed that special batteries that drive mechanisms had exhausted their resources. 

Experts of the "Zakarpatelektrobud" will conduct preventive maintenance of the devices, clean them, replace the batteries and then connect to the street lighting network, because the dials are also lit up at nighttime. 
They plan to return the clocks on Avenue in 2-3 weeks.     

In general, it is believed that the clock is a symbol of the city, setting the pace of life and protecting its history.
