City officials finally promised to arrange in Uzhgorod bike lanes. For Polish money

Is it finally? As it says in the information posted on the site that is now the mouthpiece of the city government, bike lanes may finally appear in Uzhgorod. However, again not at the expense and by efforts of the city (remember, the only bike lane on the embankment was arranged on the initiative and at the expense of donors).

Bike lanes in Uzhgorod will be arranged at the expense of the grant project.
According to 7dniv.info, in the near future, they plan to open the Bike Center in the Bozdosh park. It will be financed by Poland. 

"The creation of the Bike Center will give start to the development of the cycling infrastructure – the deputy mayor of Uzhgorod Yuri Belyakov says.   

But this is only preliminary ideas. In order to speak more specifically about it, we must listen to the opinion of experts in traffic engineering, traffic police, who are responsible for seamless, safe traffic on the city streets."

The next working group meeting is scheduled for November 11. Then, they will be considering specific proposals for organization of the cycling infrastructure in the city – 7dniv reported.

We hope that the municipality will implement this project properly and finally they will do for the cycling community something other than prohibitions.
