Citizens of Mongolia were heading to the EU via Uzhgorod. The attempt was unsuccessful

Last weekend, border guards of the Chop detachment prevented another illegal immigrants’ attempt to enter the EU.

Two men of Asian appearance were detected by the officers of the "Uzhgorod" unit in advance, and when they were trying to illegally cross the border into Slovakia they were detained "red-handed". The offenders said that they had come from Mongolia, but had no documents to confirm their words. The detainees said that they were going to Bratislava and had planned the illegal route from Ukraine to Slovakia’s capital using internet service Google maps back in Ulaanbaatar.

The offenders were brought to the border service station "Uzhgorod" to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. The decision on legal liability and the further fate of detainees will be taken in court – the press-service of Chop border guard detachment informed.
