As we reported earlier, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment together with customs officers prevented the smuggling of a large batch of tobacco products across the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
On Wednesday, at the checkpoint "Dyakovo" law enforcement officers found hidden tobacco products in copper cable coils, which a 44-year-old citizen of Lithuania was transporting to Bulgaria by a truck Volvo. The count of the tobacco products has just finished. It turned out, there were 157,500 packs of cigarettes of various brands in the coils.
Currently, the contraband is being estimated, it’s value may amount to nearly UAH 5 million.
