At the checkpoint "Dyakove", border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment prevented an attempt of a Hungarian citizen to carry across the border almost 700 packs of contraband tobacco.
The foreigner, who had arrived at the checkpoint in a car "Volkswagen", chose the simplified control lane "green corridor" for crossing the border, but during the survey, he could not give a clear answer as to carrying prohibited articles across the state border. Therefore, inspectors of the Border Guard Service decided to take the said car out of the common queue and conduct an in-depth inspection. During the joint inspection, border guards found 700 packs of cigarettes, that the man tried to hide in four cardboard boxes under the guise of vermicelli.
The report about the detection of the tobacco was made.
The total cost of the seized contraband was more than eight thousand hryvnia.
