Now, artists’ paintings can be seen not only in galleries but also in postcards. The first series was presented on April 11 in the art salon "Art Pro" in Uzhgorod. Since the event was timed to Easter, the postcards had a relevant theme – Transcarpathian crosses, the wooden church in Danylovo, flowers, etc.
According to the director of the salon Volodymyr Nyorba, so far there are just 7 postcards with works of known Transcarpathian artists Yosyp Babynets, Odarka Dolhosh and a native of Uzhgorod, who is living in Belarus, Irina Sazanova.
As the head of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Boris Kuzma aptly said, it is a kind of popularization of Transcarpathian artists. "Even though now we have forgotten the tradition of sending each other postcards, e-mail greetings still cannot replace a greeting card in envelope," – he says. Especially, when it features a painting of a famous artist.
