Chronicles of Transcarpathian bribery: another incident happened in Tyachiv district

Deputy Director of the Ternovo training and production center demanded 2,800 UAH bribe for issuing a driver’s license without training

July 30, around 21:00 in the village of Neresnytsya in Tyachiv district, near the vehicle bridge over the Teresva river, the police detained the Deputy Director of Ternovo training and production center while receiving undue benefit. He demanded and received from a Transcarpathian the previously specified amount – 2800 UAH.

For this amount, the official promised, using his official position, to facilitate in issuing a driver’s license to the man’s son without him actually attending classes.

The Investigation Department of Tyachiv District Police registered the information about this offense in the Unified register of pretrial investigation under Part 2 of Art.368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and initiated pre-trial investigation over this fact.

Currently, within the criminal proceeding they are conducting other necessary investigative (detective) activities to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The issue of the choice of preventive measure against the suspect, his removal from office and declassification of the materials on the organization and conduct of undercover investigative (detective) activities is being considered.
