Chop Customs confiscated “Toyota Land Cruiser” (PHOTOS)

"Toyota Land Cruiser" worth over 574,000 UAH has been transferred to the warehouse of the Chop customs.

This happened because a Czech national tried to illegally import this vehicle into the territory of Ukraine through the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" of the Chop customs, the press service of the regional office reported. The citizen presented a certificate of registration for the vehicle and the letter of authorization for the right to use it. After some investigation, the expert found out that the identification number of the body had been subjected to mechanical modification.

Thus, the citizen of the Czech Republic committed acts aimed at the illegal transportation of a vehicle across the customs border of Ukraine by providing documents containing false information and being the basis for transportation of another vehicle. These actions were classified on the grounds of an offense under Part 1 of Art. 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The car was seized and transferred for safekeeping to the warehouse of the customs office.
