Chop border guards detained Ukrainianы with Hungarian passports

During the last day, at checkpoints on the state border of the Chop border guard detachment, some of our compatriots attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine

During the implementation of border control at the international crossing point "Tisa", border guards thwarted an attempt to illegally cross the border by our countryman. For traveling abroad, the man decided to use the passport of a citizen of Hungary. However, during the verification of the legality of border crossing by the said man, he was forced to admit that he was a citizen of Ukraine. Thus, by his actions the man violated the Law of Ukraine "On Citizenship of Ukraine" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the procedure for border crossing by citizens of Ukraine."

A similar offense was revealed by border guards on Ukrainian-Slovak state border at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod". Border guards found and detained a female citizen of Ukraine who wanted to go to Slovakia using a Hungarian passport.

Administrative procedural documents were drawn up against the offenders for trying to illegally cross the border. Decision on their fate will be made in court.
