At the stadium "Locomotive" in the city of Chop, there was a football match between Ukrainian and Hungarian customs officers. Employees of Chop and Zahony customs offices for 90 minutes changed the custom uniforms for football jerseys, shorts, socks and shoes, custom rules – for football rules, and customs checkpoints – for football goals. The match started, traditionally, with Ukrainian and Hungarian national anthems.
Such international matches between football teams of customs offices have been held for 34 consecutive years. They were initiated in the early 80s of the last century, in order to promote friendly, constructive and partner relationships.
Nice sunny November day promoted a cheerful mood of the game. Not only players’ colleagues, but also residents of the city came to watch the game.
The game was pretty fast and intense, viewers saw not only scoring points, but also their professional realization.
The result of the football match is 2:2. So, the winner is friendship, just like on the border – there are no winners and losers, but there is protection of state interests and professional work.
