Chop already has the Christmas tree too! Townspeople say that it is sensational! (PHOTOS)

A resident of the city – journalist Tetyana Kaszuba – announced about this year’s amazing Christmas tree in Chop

The Christmas tree is slender and lush, but that is not the point. This year, no tree was cut down to decorate the town square! Instead, they decided to decorate the tree, which grows there!

Concerned Transcarpathians have long been advocating this way to celebrate the holiday – without chopping any trees. Finally, it happened!

Thus, Tetyana informs about the details of the "operation":

"I am stunned. In my town, for the first time in years, they decided not to cut a tree but to decorate a living one! The fixing-up of the surrounding area took a few days. "In order not to destroy the pine which grew nearby, they used the US and European tradition of tree replanting. The flowerbed was reduced in size, flowers and bushes were replanted, and the area around the tree will be paved with cobblestones," the City Council site informs… I do not know yet how this – living! – tree will look like with decorations. But with this progress, I believe that it will be decent!".
