Children with special needs will rest in Hungary

Today, representatives from Hungary and Romania visited Uzhgorod within the project "The bell rings for all". The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Volodymyr Flenko, the President of the NGO "Down-Association" Karoly Kishari from the city of Nyíregyháza, PR-manager of the Nyíregyháza Association Kata Veykon, the director of the early intervention center "Chodovar" Victoria Pazmayn and a social worker from the center "Caritas", "The bell rings for all" project coordinator Ondroshi Paulo (Romania).

The purpose of the meeting was the organization of recreation for children with special needs in a summer camp in Nyíregyháza.    

"One of the important steps in the rehabilitation of children with severe disabilities is early intervention, that is a family-centered multidisciplinary care for the family that raise a child with disabilities. This trend has been successfully implemented in both Niredgaza and in Romania for over 6 years. Therefore, one of its objectives is to develop a positive attitude towards children with disabilities – Ondroshi Paulo said. – When they are adults, the society should accept them as equal members of the state." 

         It is planned to send 50 representatives from Romania, Hungary and Ukraine to the vacation in the summer camp in Hungary. It will be children, their parents, volunteers and teachers – the City Hall reported.
