Centuries-old oaks were cut down near Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Citizens found oak logs in the forest between Uzhgorod and the village of Tsyhanivtsi, the Trybuna reported.

Based on the diameter of the logs, the felled oaks were centuries old. Illegal fellling does not stop even during the "quiet period"; the press service of the Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration recently reported about the prohibition of any economic activity until the 15th of June, 2018. And here, the green lungs of the Carpathians are being destroyed right in front of the of the foresters and the Ecological Inspectorate.
