Celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine took place in Uzhgorod

Today, celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine took place in Uzhgorod, the PR department of Uzhgorod City Council reported. Representatives of the regional and city authorities, law enforcement agencies, diplomats, former military and ordinary citizens gathered on Narodna Square. There, a screen was installed showing live broadcast from Sofiyivska Square. After the congratulatory speech of the officials, students of the Transcarpathian regional boarding school with enhanced military-physical training solemnly swore an oath. The Honored Academic Transcarpathian People’s Choir, together with the soldiers and students, performed the "March of the New Army", after which, accompanied by the orchestra, they marched to the Hill of Glory. There, they laid flowers at the monument to the soldiers of the ATO and the Eternal Flame.
