Celebrations in honor of the anniversary of the proclamation of Carpathian Ukraine will be held without party symbols and slogans

The anniversary of the proclamation of the Carpathian Ukraine will be solemnly celebrated on Thursday, March 15, in Transcarpathia

In Uzhgorod, at 9 o’clock, regional officials will lay flowers to the monument to the Hero of Ukraine, the President of the Carpathian Ukraine, Augustine Voloshin. And at 13:00, officials of the region, districts, cities of the region, the public will hold a solemn rally near the Memorial Cross set up in honor of the killed Carpathian Sich members in the memorial complex Krasne Pole near the city of Khust. Together with Transcarpathians, guests from the neighboring regions – the heads of Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Poltava regional councils – will take part in the commemorative event.

On the territory of the Krasne Pole memorial complex, there will be an exhibition of copies of documents from the funds of the regional archives, which present little-known pages on the history of Transcarpathia, highlight the political processes of the last century, the struggle of Transcarpathians for independence. The exhibition will include the materials about the establishment and activities of the National Defense Organization "Carpathian Sich", the order on the name of Subcarpathian Rus, the proclamation of the Carpathian Ukraine and its prominent figures.

The Regional State Administration invites Transcarpathians to join the celebration of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Carpathian Ukraine. And they stress that the official events at 9:00 in Uzhgorod and at 13:00 in the Krasne Pole will be held without any party symbols and slogans. The fallen heroes of the Carpathian Ukraine will be honored under the national symbols of Ukraine.
