Holy Fire, which appeared today in the Cathedral of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, is already in Transcarpathia.
On April 11, an iron Easter egg was forged in the water smithy ‘Hamora’, which is known far beyond the village Lysychevo of Irshava district in Transcarpathian region.
A giant egg is currently being decorated by the teachers of the Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity ‘PADIUN’ in the courtyard of the recreation city center on the Rakotsi Street in Uzhgorod. The Easter egg’s height is nearly 3 meters and its weight is about 120 kg.
An artist from Chinadievo makes unique Easter eggs in a medieval castle . Bartosh Tatyana, in her studio, located in the castle of St. Miklosh, armed with a magnifying glass and a piece of razor blade has been scratching onion painted eggs for more than 15 years.
Icon exhibition opened in the exhibition hall named after Arnold Gross of Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute, which was presented by a Franciscan monk Tarsytsiy Varga on April 5. The exhibition is held as a part of the project ‘Thousand faces of Culture 2012’.
As a part of the tour, Yuri Andrukhovych gives presentations, autograph sessions, press conferences and meetings with students. Transcarpathian journalists will have the opportunity to talk to the writer at the press center “Zakarpatie”.
