The Court of Appeal in Transcarpathian region upheld the position of the Transcarpathian customs office regarding a foreigner, who violated customs regulations at the customs post "Solotvyno".
Recall that in April 2016, at the customs post "Solotvyno", customs officers prevented an attempt of a Hungarian national to import to Ukraine an "Audi A4" with forged documents, namely letter of authorization to use the vehicle.
Due to the illegal actions of the citizen, officers of the SFS drew up a report on violation of customs rules, under which the vehicle worth more than 985,000 UAH was seized.
After consideration of these case in the first instance court, where the foreigner was convicted of violating customs rules, the citizen took the opportunity to file the appeal on the decision.
Thus, the Court of Appeal in Transcarpathian region, after consideration of the case materials, detailed inspection and proper assessment of the evidence in the case, confirmed the guilt of the citizen in moving a vehicle across the border of Ukraine under the documents containing false information. By the ruling of the court, the penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of UAH 985,229.34 was imposed on the foreigner with the seizure of the direct object of violation of customs regulations – "Audi A4" made in 2016.
