Carve-up did not happen. Uzhgorod city council will convene after the election, the mayor promised to notify

Given the pre-election concerns and increased public attention to Uzhgorod city council session, the deputies ignored the meeting convened by Pogorelov.

Only the most devoted Party of Regions members and few deputies of his own group responded to the invitation of the mayor.

The remaining seats were empty.

As the mayor said in his comments to journalists, the convening of the next meeting would be announced not later than 24 hours in advance. He emphasized that he guarantees that. "Most likely, the issues of zoning of the city and land issues will not be considered", – the Chairman of the City Council said.

So, we should pin Pogorelov down to his word. And, of course, to keep controlling the deputies who will probably surrender their powers to the newly elected city council not before the 20th of November.

We hope that the public control, which this Uzhgorod city council was subjected at the end of its term, will be no less close in relation to its new members.
