Carriers of the region will be working on new terms

The regional government plans to approve the terms of competition for passenger transportation on intercity and suburban bus routes.

Under the new requirements, total passenger capacity of vehicles on intercity route shall be: in normal mode – 22 or more seats; in express mode – 12 or more seats.

On suburban routes, total passenger capacity of vehicles shall be: in normal mode – 22 or more seats; in express mode – 12 or more seats; in shuttle mode – 12 or more seats.

It is also planned that at each object of the competition, which includes suburban bus routes for general use, the carrier shall ensure the operation of at least one vehicle adapted for transportation of persons with disabilities.

Under the terms of the competition, the largest number of buses shall run on the route Uzhgorod-Mukachevo – 15.

The competition terms are to be approved at the Department of Justice.
