Capsule laid at the place of future monument to Gabriel Gluck in Uzhgorod

On a small square near the university administration of UzhNU and opposite of the school № 2 two dozen people gathered at the equipped and cleaned square, which will subsequently be named after Gabriel Gluck, to lay a capsule with a message to future generations and the original drawing of the outstanding artist. It was reported by Zagolovok.

After attending representatives of the city government and the university said welcoming speeches, a letter translated into three languages (Ukrainian, Hungarian and English) was put into the capsule together with a drawing – a sketch of a woodcutter portrait. Then the capsule, for which they took a metal thermos, was lowered into a prepared pit, poured with concrete and covered by stone.

Thus they indicated their intention: as early as this fall, on the day of the artist’s 100th anniversary, to open a monument to him at this very place. The author of the monument is a sculptor Mikhail Kolodko. According to the sculptor, he has already prepared a small copy of a sculpture and soon he will start working on a big version of the monument.
