By the end of the year, Ukraine will have adapted 3 thousand technical standards and regulations to the EU standards

The government expects to adapt technical standards and regulations to the EU regulations and complete the adaptation of 3 thousand regulations by the end of the year.

This was reported to the YevroPravda by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Valeriy Pyatnitsky.

"We intend to do it by "changing the cover." This means that we take the current European standards and regulations, translate them and change the cover to Ukrainian. This will allow us to rapidly speed up, and we expect to adapt 3 thousand regulations by the end of the year."

However, he said that the government still needs about a year to adapt technical standards and regulations to the EU regulations necessary for the economic part of the Association Agreement to enter into full force.
