By the end of the work week the main city Christmas tree will be installed in Uzhgorod

As you know, for the last three years a real birch has been set in the regional center on Teatralna square (before that a green beauty had been assembled of the branches on the frame). The Christmas tree that has been selected for the holidays belongs to the silver type, and is not even that high – about 12 meters, but as they say in the urban landscaping department, is very beautiful and symmetrical, "like a picture."

The tree is growing in a private yard in the city and is among those, that residents offer the city for cutting, because the tree is too big.   The cutting, transporting and installing the Christmas on Teatralna Square is planned for the next few days – the Christmas tree may appear in the city center as soon as on Wednesday. Now they are resolving organizational issues, such as the official "transfer" of the tree from owners to the city and blocking of traffic Petofi square, because a special vehicle will transport the tree via footbridge. In any case, we will know the details soon …
