In Transcarpathia, they offer to sleep … on bees. Oleksandr Simon provides such an original method of relaxation and recreation in his apiary in Kolochava.
The man from Verkhovyna village inherited his father’s apiary, and besides honey, deals with other bee products: ambrosia, pollen, propolis, wax, etc., makes ointment based on bee products and mead. And, since he has also mastered the profession of a carpenter, he recently built in his apiary an unusual "hut" – a beehive from the bottom, and a bed on top.
He assures that those who spend in the beehive hut an hour or two, comes out completely renewed. He attributes the miraculous healing and calming effect to heat and vibration coming from insects and aromatherapy. Everything is like in a real SPA-salon: every detail is important. Thus, the "bee guest" lies on a homespun mat, puts his or her head on the pillow with medicinal herbs, and is covered with a wool blanket – to accumulate heat. "You need to calm down, trust the bees, and the bees will help you," the beekeeper says. And his bees already "take patients" from different cities of the state.
