Bus fares in Transcarpathia may rise

Starting the next month, Transcarpathians will pay more for bus rides. 

Tariffs for passenger transportation in suburban and inter-city regional traffic may increase by 19% – the relevant draft order "On tariffs for transportation of passengers and luggage by buses on suburban and inter-city routes" was published on the website of the regional state administration.

Last time, tariffs for passenger transportation in the region were raised in May last year. To date, the tariff for transportation in Transcarpathia is the lowest in Ukraine – 26 kopiykas per kilometer. After the raise, it will be 31 kopiykas per kilometer – which is the average tariff in the country.

Starting February, approximate fares on major routes in the region will be:

Uzhgorod – Mukachevo 21.6 UAH

Uzhgorod – Tyachiv 51.9 UAH

Uzhgorod – Perechyn 10.2 UAH

Uzhgorod – Mizhhirya 75.34 UAH

Uzhgorod – Kust 48.6 UAH

Uzhgorod – Rakhiv 97.9 UAH
