Budget deficit exceeded 35 billion

The state budget deficit in January-September 2013 amounted to 35.211 billion hryvnias, which is 1.4 times the deficit of the same period in the last year – 24.378 billion hryvnias.

This was reported on the site of the Ministry of Finance, the UNIAN informed.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the consolidated budget deficit in January-September this year amounted to 33.828 billion hryvnias, which is 1.6 times higher than the deficit for the same period in the last year 21.262 billion hryvnias.

The deficit of the General Fund of the budget for this period is 38.745 billion hryvnias, which is 1.8 times more than that in January-September last year – 22.114 billion hryvnias, but at the same time is 5.496 billion hryvnias less than the budget plan for January-September 2013.

In the first nine months of this year, revenues to the state budget amounted to 250.743 billion hryvnias, which is 4.414 billion hryvnias or 1.79% more than that for the same period in 2012 – 246.330 billion hryvnias.

Total revenues of the consolidated budget for the reporting period amounted to 325.901 billion hryvnias, which is 793 million hryvnias or 2.49% more than that in January-September 2012 – 317.974 billion hryvnias. Compared to January-September 2012, actual revenues to the general fund of the state budget in January-September have increased by 8.172 billion hryvnias or 3.92% – to 216.722 billion hryvnias.

Cash expenditures from the state budget for the first nine months of 2013 amounted to 285.313 billion hryvnias, which is 6.75% or 18.050 billion hryvnias more than that for the same period in 2012 – 267.263 billion hryvnias.

Total cash expenditures of the consolidated budget in January-September amounted to 359.045 billion hryvnias, which is 6.94%, or 23.286 billion hryvnias more than that in January-September of the last year – 335.759 billion hryvnias. Compared to January-September 2012, cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for 9 months have increased by 10.70% or 24.740 billion hryvnias – up to 255.916 billion hryvnias.

It was reported that the state budget deficit in January-August 2013 amounted to 34.753 billion hryvnias, which is 2 times the deficit for the same period in the last year – 16.655 billion hryvnias.
