In the most high-altitude district center of Ukraine – Rakhiv – one of the best festivals of Transcarpathiaa "Hutsul bryndzya" took place after a two-year hiatus
The celebration timed to autumn return of sheep flocks from pastures was held for the 15th time! This year, it could have been stopped by the hard rain that starting pouring immediately after the beginning of the procession from the city center.
22 district settlements presented their culinary products and amateur performances at the festival.
The most exciting part of the festival began in the evening, when "Afro-Ukrainians" from the band "Black Stars" came up onto the stage. Once the black singers in embroidered shirts started singing in perfect Ukrainian, several thousand visitors immediately surrounded the stage.
Journalist Tetyana Kaszuba described her emotions after the festival: "Shame on me. Being a native of Transcarpathia, this was my first time at the "Hutsul bryndzya". And it made me realize that I do not want to ever leave this place! It is the best land in the world: the open palm of heavens 🙂 The best people, the best food, the best climate, the best dialect, the best landscapes, the best jokes, the best folklore. The best cheese. Oh, no – brynza! The best everything!"
