Uniting Ukraine by playing. The volleyball championship of Ukraine among border guards took place in Uzhgorod.
In the regional center of Transcarpathia, there was the final session, which was attended by 8 teams from around the country. Border guards from Kyiv, Kotovsk, Lutsk, Kherson, Mukachevo and other cities of Ukraine, besides public service, find time for volleyball.
Border guards who came from different cities of Ukraine believe that volleyball gives comfort. It is especially needed for men returning from the ATO area (and there were such men at the competition in Uzhgorod).
Combining sport with public service is fun. This was emphasized by the assistant head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine – the head of the sports committee Mykola Podolyak and the head coach of the sports committee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Yaremus.
Different sports for Ukrainian border guards are not just a hobby, but also serious competition awards. 133 representatives of the State Border Guard Service have taken part in the Olympics since independence. Border guards have won 10 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze medals.
