Border guards were again offered a bribe

A man tried to bribe border guards in order to enter the country without insurance policy. 
Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", a Bulgarian citizen tried to bribe a border guard. The 39-year-old man was traveling to Ukraine without a mandatory insurance policy covering the costs of COVID-19 treatment. He tried to get the permission to cross the border with a bribe of 100 US dollars by putting a note in his passport. 
The border guard refused this offer. Instead, he informed his management about the illegal action. An investigative team of the National Police was called to the scene. The National Police was informed about signs of the criminal offense provided by Art. 369 of the CCU "An offer, promise or giving of illegal benefit to an official".  
The investigative team of the police drew up the relevant procedural documents and confiscated the money. After the foreigner purchased an insurance policy, he was allowed to enter Ukraine.
