Border guards responded to media reports about the events at the checkpoint “Tisa”

The press service of the Chop Border Guard Detachment responded to media reports.

Some media have reported that in Transcarpathia, people faint in queues.

In particular, the media referred to a man who had fainted because of a long wait to undergo control procedures when entering Ukraine.

It should be noted that the incident took place on Sunday, April 5, at the crossing point "Tisa", which is on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. However, the cause of the loss of consciousness was epilepsy.

Noticing this, the border guards immediately called an ambulance. Upon of arrival of the ambulance, the man had already woken up and decided to continue the trip to his place of residence. The minibus he was traveling in left the checkpoint accompanied by doctors.

Therefore, reports of long waits for border control at the checkpoint "Tisa" are not true. In this regard, we ask you to consider carefully the information about the border crossing, which is posted on social networks for negative or distorted coverage of events.
