The State Border Guard Service actively uses drones to protect the border. Usage of modern technical means proves to be effective and allows to act preventively. Small aircrafts help to respond quickly to all illegal actions, including those related to illegal movement of goods.
So, today in the area of the Mukachevo Detachment, border guards of the department "Luzhanka" using a drone detected an attempted smuggling of tobacco products. The aircraft "saw" the violators on the approaches to the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The information was immediately transferred to the response team. Upon arrival at the scene within minutes, border guards found nine packages of tobacco products wrapped in black plastic bags. The offenders, having found out that they had been spotted, took flight. Currently, they are wanted.
