Border guards once again detained illegal immigrants in Transcarpathia

The smuggler of illegal migrants was detained yesterday by officers of the main operative search department of the Mukachevo border guard detachment. 
The 48-year-old resident of Vynogradiv district has been wanted since 2014 for organizing the illegal transportation of six Vietnamese citizens across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. 
Currently, the man faces criminal liability for a period of five to seven years for committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border". Border guards handed over the criminal to the National Police. The further fate of the Ukrainian will be decided by the court. 
Since the beginning of the year, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment have detained 42 illegal migrants in 14 cases. All of them intended to improve their living conditions in the countries of the European Union.
