Border guards found dangerous items at border crossing points in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

Over the last two days, border guards of the Chop detachment detected three cases of illegal transportation of weapons and their components in vehicles. 
Thus, on Sunday, March 8, while inspecting a passenger car VolkswagenTiguan at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards found a device for shooting rubber balls PMR and a 6-cartridge magazine under the driver’s seat. The car was driven by a 35-year-old resident of Transcarpathian region.
On the same day, an attempt to illegally import weapons components into the territory of Ukraine was stopped at the checkpoint "Tisa". In the luggage compartment of a van Mercedes, border guards, together with customs officers, found a Steiner sight, a Vortex LaserRangefinder laser rangefinder, a Tier-OneBlaserTacRings sight and a non-branded barrel to a weapon.
Also last night, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", in a car Skoda" with Czech registration, border guards found a gas pistol "R BLANK" and 13 rounds to him. The vehicle was driven by a 41-year-old Czech citizen.
In all three cases, border guards called National Police officers to the scene. The weapons and ammunition were handed over to the investigative teams for further examination, the weapons components were seized by customs officers.
