Border guards found a large number of energy drinks and dietary supplements in a minibus traveling from Hungary

Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment together with the customs officers prevented an attempt to illegally import into the territory of Ukraine a batch of dietary supplements, energy drinks and vitamins for athletes. 
Hidden bioadditives were being transported into Ukraine through the checkpoint "Tisa". During the inspection of a minibus Mercedes-Benz, which was driven by a 37-year-old Ukrainian, border guards noticed foreign objects in the design features of the vehicle. The car was sent for an in-depth inspection, during which 1355 packages of dietary supplements, energy drinks, vitamins and sports nutrition were found. They were hidden in the air filter, under the engine and in the spare wheel.
The found goods and the minibus made in 2007 were seized in accordance with the procedure established by law. The value of the dietary supplements and sports nutrition is currently being estimated, while the vehicle was estimated at UAH 303,000, the Chop Border Guard Detachment reported.
