Border guards found a forged letter of authorization for the car worth about one million hryvnia

Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards of the Chop detachment together with customs officers detained an expensive car with a forged letter of authorization for operation.

Thus, a 34-year-old citizen of Hungary in a minibus "Volkswagen Multivan" was entering Ukraine through the checkpoint. However, during the border and customs control, border guards had doubts about the legality of the state border crossing by this vehicle. As a result, the border guards initiated a joint in-depth inspection. During the inspection, it was found out that the letter of authorization for operation of the vehicle was not registered at a notary office, thus the signature and the seal in the documents presented by the Hungarian were forged.

The vehicle made in 2015 was seized according to the law. The total value of the car is over 930,000 UAH.
