Border guards of the Mukachevo border guard detachment prevented another attempt of illegal transportation of tobacco products across the border. Thus, yesterday, at the international border crossing point "Vylok", a car "Audi" driven by a citizen of Hungary arrived to the "green corridor" lane to leave Ukraine. Considering the available information on possible transportation of prohibited objects and materials in this vehicle, border guards decided to conduct an in-depth inspection of the car.
During the joint inspection of the vehicle, an inspector of the Border Guard Service found cigarettes "LD" with excise stamps of Ukraine in the amount of 380 packs and "Lifa" without excise stamps in the amount of 120 packs. To hide the cigarettes, the 21-year-old Hungarian put them in the tank of the car gas installation. The cigarettes could be reached only after dismantling of the cylinder.
The relevant report was made. And the Hungarian lost not only the contraband tobacco products, but also his car. The total value of the cigarettes is being established, the vehicle is estimated at almost 29,000 UAH.
