Border guards of the Border Guard Service Department "Chop" together with representatives of the customs office prevented illegal transportation of cigarettes across the border.
Law enforcement officers took notice of the freight train "Chop (Ukraine) – Záhony (Hungary)." While carrying out a joint inspection of the cars, the inspectors suspected illegal transportation. Later, during the in-depth inspection, the border guards found hidden cigarettes "LM" made in Ukraine in total amount of 300 packs. The tobacco products were in the wheel sets of the first three cars.
The found cigarettes were seized and handed over to representatives of the customs office. The total value of the seized cigarettes was 5,400 UAH.
