Border guards detained three illegals in Chop

A family of Turks chose the New Year’s Eve to illegally get into Europe. Of course, this attempt failed, as the officers of the State Border Guard Service detected and stopped the illegal actions.

While checking the documents of the passengers in the train "Kyiv – Vienna" border guards of the railway crossing "Chop (Druzhba)" found three foreigners whose documents did not seem valid. A man, a woman and a three-year-old boy submitted for passport control "Special passports" of Turkish citizens. During the in-depth inspection, the border guards found out that all three documents had signs of forgery – the holders’ photos had been replaced. In addition, counterfeit marks of border crossings were found in the passports.

In order to identify the persons and stop the offense, the detainees were taken to the temporary detention facility of the Chop border guard detachment.  After establishment of all the circumstances of the offense, they will be brought to administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine". The information about the revealed offense was sent to the National Police for registration in the URPI as a criminal offense under Article 358 of the Criminal Code "Counterfeiting of documents, seals, stamps and forms, their sale, use of counterfeit documents".
