Border guards detained a BMWX5 with forged body number

Yesterday, a BMWX5 with Czech registration arrived at the international checkpoint "Uzhgorod" for entry to Ukraine.

The driver of the car, a citizen of the Czech Republic, chose the "green corridor" for border and customs control. However, border guards became suspicious about the legitimacy of the vehicle movement across the border. Therefore, the car was sent for the in-depth inspection.

During the inspection, the joint group of border guards and customs officers found out that the ID designation of the body was applied not by factory method.

The report of administrative violation was drawn up against the driver. The car released in 2006 is currently in the customs control zone. The experts should determine the cost of the car and find out the circumstances of a possible car theft.
