Border guards confiscated a car with a forged body number

Yesterday, at the Ukrainian-Slovak border, "green berets" found a car with a forged number of body and numbered units.

When a car "Jeep Grand Cherokee" arrived at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", law enforcement officers suspected violations in the crossing of the border by this vehicle. Thus, the border guards initiated an in-depth inspection of the car and detected the signs indicating that the identification number of the body and numbered units were forged. So, the vehicle was detained, and within a few hours an expert of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathian region confirmed that the alphanumeric markings in the body number and all duplicate plates were forged.

As a result, officers of the customs post "Uzhgorod" drew up a report on violation of customs rules against the driver of the car – a 42-year-old citizen of Ukraine, and the car "JEEP" made in 2002 was seized. The confiscated vehicle was estimated at 300,000 UAH.
