The collection of memoirs, articles, essays, fiction, bibliographic sources "Ivan Chendey in the circle of contemporaries" dedicated to the 95th birth anniversary of Ukrainian writer, winner of the National Taras Shevchenko Award Ivan Mykhailovich Chendey will be presented in two cities and the writer’s native town of Dubove.
Today, May 18, at 17:00, the book will be presented in Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, which produced the collection together with the writer’s daughter Maria Treschak, author Oleksandr Havrosh, and the researcher of the writer’s epistolary works Professor Sydor Kiral.
On May 20, at 12:00, the presentation will take place in the secondary school of the town of Dubove in Tyachiv district.
On May 21, 14:00 – in Tyachiv District Central Library.
"Ivan Chendey in the circle of contemporaries" is "an attempt to show not only the personality of the author, but also the era in which he lived and worked. It is a collection of the writer’s journalistic works on many prominent contemporaries; memoirs, articles, essays, works of fellow writers, journalists, friends and relatives who knew the artist personally; analysis of his epistolary heritage and additions to bibliographic index about the life and work of Ivan Chendey.
The publication is aimed at a wide range of readers, primarily literary critics, local historians, teachers, students, librarians", – the abstract reads.
