On March 25, language camps "BombeZNO" started to work in the schools of Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions. The camps provide express trainings for Ukrainian language and literature tests for graduates of schools with Hungarian and Romanian languages of instruction, the Zaholovok reported.
The four-day courses were organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the NGO "Osvitoria" and GoGlobal (with the support of the project "Finnish support for the reform of the Ukrainian school" and the European Union).
The organizers of the project understand that four days are not enough to prepare anyone for the EIT, because the problem is much deeper than just failing the EIT. The main mission of the language camp is to create a positive mood, to relieve stress, so that students see that learning is an interesting and necessary process.
If the pilot project is successful, then the Ministry of Education and Science and the organizers have a strategy for setting up regular work through summer language camps, trainings, offline, online formats, etc.
The project involves 44 teachers from Chernivtsi and Transcarpathia regions. Those are the best teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in Ukraine.
In Transcarpathian region, the spring language camps will work for students of Vynogradiv district at the Karachyn Lyceum, for students of Beregovo district – at the Yanoshi secondary school, for students of Uzhgorod district – at the Velyka Dobron secondary school.
Successful passing of the external independent testing should improve graduates’ chances of successful life in Ukraine.
Participation in the project is free of charge.
