Bokshay, Sapatyuk, and Kontratovich streets will appear in Chop

Moskal renamed another 10 place names – Voloshin, Braschayko, Marton, Kontratovich streets have appeared in the region…

        The head of the Regional State Administration signed another decree on renaming streets under the Law of Ukraine "On the condemnation of Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols." This time 10 place names in seven settlements in Tyachiv and Uzhgorod district have been changed.

According to the decree, Zhovtneva street in the village of Vilkhivtsi in Tyachiv district was renamed to Vasyl Shobey street (member of the Seim of Carpathian Ukraine, a native of Vilkhivtsi).

Pionerska Street in the village of Vilkhivtsi – to Skautska street.

Zhovtneva street in the village of Dobrianske in Tyachiv district – to Zoltan Sholtes street (outstanding Transcarpathian painter).

Kolhospna street in the village of Dulovo in Tyachiv district – to Augustine Voloshin street (President of Carpathian Ukraine, was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine posthumously).

Radyanska street in the village of Novobarovo in Tyachiv district – to Yuliy Braschayko street (political and cultural activist, minister of finance and communications of Carpathian Ukraine).

Zhovtneva street in the village of Velyki Lazy in Uzhgorod district – to Stepan Marton street (outstanding Transcarpathian composer and musician).

Zhovtneva street in the village of Kamianytsia in Uzhgorod district – to Andriy Kotska street (outstanding Transcarpathian painter).

Turyanytsia street in the city of Chop in Uzhgorod district – to Bokshay street (outstanding Transcarpathian painter).

Shchors street in Chop – to Mykhailo Sapatyuk street (outstanding Transcarpathian painter).

Chapaeva street in Chop – to Ernest Kontratovich street (outstanding Transcarpathian painter).
