Yosyp Bokshay, Transcarpathian painting, autumn – those three phrases are synonymous to anyone who is familiar with the work of one of the founders of the Transcarpathian school of painting.
Autumn was the favourite season of this incredibly talented colorist. Although other seasons in the pictures of Yosyp Bokshay are colorful too, it is his autumn paintings that are rich in picturesque gold.
