Freight transport must deliver goods to shops and establishments in the center of Uzhgorod before 8 am and after 6 pm. Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv stated this today at the meeting with entrepreneurs and suppliers in the city council.
"We appreciate our entrepreneurs, we are grateful to them for creating jobs, bringing revenues to the budget. We do not want to limit their opportunities in any way, because we know that it is not easy for them, especially now, during a crisis. However, the city should be comfortable for everyone – people going to work or school should not wait in traffic jams because a street is blocked by a truck that is being unloaded. That’s why we initiated a meeting to discuss everything, to organize it properly," – Bohdan Andriyiv said.
Patrol police officers promised to fine violators – this is very important, because some cynically drive in pedestrian areas – on Korzo and Augustine Voloshin streets, Sandor Petofi Square.
