The Carpathian Center for Polinological Research has published the “Bograch Index” data for March 2024.
The index shows that products in Zakarpattia have become 7% cheaper over the month.
In February 2024, it took 834 hryvnias to cook bograch for a family of five. In March, the price of the grocery set for this dish decreased to 775 hryvnias, which is 59 hryvnias less.
The “Bograch Index” is a unique research method that provides an insight into the purchasing power of Zakarpattia residents. This index is calculated monthly, since bograch-goulash is a popular dish in the region that contains many ingredients, making it a universal indicator of food prices.
We hope that this trend will continue, and the purchasing power of Zakarpattia residents will increase.
