Today in Kyiv, nearly 6 a.m. on the 71-year life after prolonged illness died Hero of Ukraine, film and theater actor, director of the National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko, Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka.
The President of Ukraine advisor Hanna Herman informed that funerals and farewell to the actor will be held on July 24, reported UNIAN.

He was born in August 27, 1941 in the town of Kulykiv in Lviv region. He graduated from Kyiv Institute of Theatrical Arts. He had been working as an actor of Lviv National Ukrainian Drama Theater named after M. Zankovetska since 1961 to 1978 and an actor of Kyiv Ukrainian Drama Theater named after I. Franko since 1978.
He had been working at the Minister of Culture and Arts of Ukraine since 1999 to 2001 and the artistic director of the National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko since 2001.
He played more than 100 roles in theater and nearly 50 in the movie.
