In the morning, a traffic congestion was formed on the international road Kyiv-Chop – in Nyzhni Vorota, protesters blocked the road in order to attract attention to rising gasoline prices.
This was reported to the Ukrinform by the police department in Transcarpathian region: "The traffic on the international route Kyiv-Chop is hampered. According to preliminary data, today, on October 11, at 09:00, drivers started a protest against the high price of gasoline. About 30 people are protesting, they are walking on the pedestrian crossing and partly blocked the way with their own cars," – the police reported.
The protest is against the significant increase in gasoline prices in the country. However, protesters let the vehicles through every 10-15 minutes.
And at 10.30, the police department in Transcarpathia reported: "At present, the traffic on the stationary post Nyzhni Vorota has been restored! Take it into account when planning your own trip".
