Blackmailers, who demanded money for private videos, were detained in Uzhgorod

The corresponding decision was made on August 7 by the investigating judge of the Uzhgorod City and District Court.

According to media reports, a 29-year-old girl from Lviv region would meet men, seduce them, and when they met for sex, the woman’s accomplices would break into apartments and start filming everything. After that, the men, who were caught on camera, received offers to pay off. In case of refusal, the blackmailers threatened to share the video among the relatives of the victim or in public, through social networks.

The victims were asked to pay $ 2,000.

According to the press service of the Uzhgorod City and District Court, a witness was questioned at the court hearing.

The defense requested bail for the two men and house arrest for their accomplice.

However, the investigating judge took into account all the risks and imposed pre-trial retraint in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 630,600 hryvnias.
