Milan Shashik, the bishop of Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese, at the public meetings, initiated by the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko said: what happened in the region is a painful fact, we express our condolences to the victims.
"Nobody has the right to infringe upon human life. No one would have thought that this could have happened here. Those who are responsible for law and order should take all measures to bring back peace and harmony in our region. We are praying in our churches for peace in our country, in our homes, peace in the hearts of people" – the bishop said.
