Bishop Barsanuphius about the conflict in Yasinya: the community decided to go over to the Ukrainian church, the “Moscow” priest refuses

The community of the temple of St. George in the town of Yasinya, the Keveliv tract, has gone over to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

This was stated by the Bishop of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Barsanuphius,.

He released the following message: "The community of the temple of St. George in the town of Yasinya, the Keveliv tract, has left the Khust diocese of the UOC-MP and supported the move to the Transcarpathian diocese of the OCU by an absolute majority of votes: 70 vs 14. The priest refused to implement the move and, along with the dean of the Khust diocese, is insulting the parishioners and will not leave the temple. Please, support them with prayers!"

By the way, on January 27, the community of another church in the town of Yasinya along with Father Volodymyr Loferdyuk almost unanimously went over to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

Thus the community of the temple of St. George is the fourth in Transcarpathia to go over to the Ukrainian Church.
